Alka Translations Monthly Status Report: August 2021

Hello, our patient public, and welcome to yet another monthly update! It is I, an inanimate piece of lumber, here to elucidate you on the current state of things.

First and foremost, the things that got done! As always QA gradually continues, and progress on subbing the OPs and EDs proceeds. The magicians who work on that have just one more of each to get done, as of this writing, and they’re doing great work from what I’ve seen.

And that’s reeeaaally about it (as far as I know. Maybe the team’ll read this and correct me, or maybe not. In case of the latter, I’m leaving this here because I have that power). So that takes this painfully short post to more philosophical matters: what has yet to be done.

So as of now, Kamome is sitting at about 500 lines left to completion, and Tsumugi still has her entire route to be gone through. Full disclosure, those two routes are my responsibility, as is their delay, which is why I felt the need to write this update myself. As the saying goes, it never rains but it pours, and life comes hard sometimes, although you may be tired of that excuse by now. But that’s why we make these posts. Because even though it’s taken us a good while, we’re still kicking, and frankly you’ll have to kill me before I give up on getting my portion done. But that said, I’m hoping to have some damn stability in the coming weeks and my goal is to get Kamome wrapped up as soon as possible. Then it’s a straight shot through Mugyu Town, and before you know it, it’ll be release time. SIKE I finished Kamome before the post went up. Mugyu is next! This is what happens when I write the posts early.

Anyway, that’s about all I got. As always, we greatly appreciate your patience. We know this game means a lot to a lot of people, and we’re extremely proud of the work we’ve done so far. All right no more sappiness! We’ll be back next month with more riveting news, so until then!

Disappointed that the status report was short, but I know you all are working hard on the project. Nonetheless, I hope to see more of your work, good luck. 😀
