Alka Translations Monthly Status Report: July 2022

Hello, hello. It’s time for our first post-Reflection Blue update. As is to be expected, there’s not much to really update now. Don’t freak out, Kud Wafter fans, that’s still happening, but all in due time. What I mean more to say is Alka’s in what you might call its twilight years.

We’ve come full circle with finally getting our Summer Pockets translation out, we’ve made some great releases over the years, and we’re all living very different lives than we were when this all began. What’s this mean for the future? Well, for me personally, Reflection Blue was my finale. I can’t speak for whatever ventures the others might have up their sleeves, but I think it’s safe to say that Alka Translations is going to slow down (ASIDE from Kud Wafter, I can’t stress that enough. That’s still happening. Saito’ll be dead before he stops). Hey, we had to rip the band-aid off sooner or later, and now it’s out there.

As for these monthly updates, seeing as we’re gonna be on a bit of a break after RB’s release, expect these things to possibly get shorter–if not suspended until Kud starts picking up again. Of course, I’ve consulted no one about that, so it’s entirely up to the rest of the team. I’m just throwing the possibility out there in case we go dark for a month or two. So don’t assume we’re dead if that happens.

In any case, this will likely be my last substantial post to you guys, so let me just say, from all of us, thank you for supporting us and the creators of every game we’ve brought to English.

From the next life,
